History: In June 1967, the Sutton Public Library opened in a small room in the Sutton Community Building. After a series of minor improvements, a major renovation improved the facility in 1986. Following several years of fundraising, grant writing and community financial support, a new library building opened in 2009 on Main Street, and now serves more than 5,400 residents in Braxton County.
